Interface Tracking Simulation for Subcooled Flow Boiling Using VOSET Method

This article presents a numerical simulation on subcooled flow boiling at high-pressure condition. An interface tracking method, VOSET, was used to handle the moving interface, and conjugate heat transfer between wall fluid included in model. In order consider evaporation microlayer below growing bubble, depletable micorlayer model employed. Our illustrated typical processes of including bubble sliding, coalescence, detachment annihilation, revealed many mechanisms increasing coefficient. A transition regime from isolated bubbly elongated reproduced by our simulations. The void fraction obtained time-averaging volume vapor phase under various conditions analyzed.
